Actually the soil calculation they use assumes you are testing 6" of soil depth, and also assumes a standard/average soil density. So this unit of "acres" on a soil test is actually volumetric. Saving all the conversion math, it roughly comes out to a factor of 0.5 from lbs/acres to grams per cu yd.
