First attempt with no till beds

Thanks all! Harvest day for some of the ladies, were at 68 days I think. The summer breeze plants will be up for another week or so, they're getting there. They're all like baseball bats. The ones I'm harvesting now are looking great, not much fade on them, maybe less teas next round, they have had only water for at least 3 weeks now. I guess the bed is a little rich? I am washing my buds this round also, I had some bugs in my soil that I took care of with OGBioWar but they just climbed up the plant and died on the buds. Washing is going well, makes wet trimming a dream, zero scissor build up, just keep trimming!!! Here's some shots
Peace

After washing, hang drying, paper bagging trimming and into jars with 62% Boveda packs, I finished with around .75g/watt. I'm satisfied with that, no Co2, very low cost and easy maintenance. I think I'll be sticking with this bed for a while, much better results than I ever got out of buckets of soil fed with any bottled nute. I only checked the PH of my water a few times when I first started up and then after that I never checked it again, water from the tap was around 6.5, low tds (~40-50), I cleaned the 10 gallon Rez every week with hot water, blumats were checked periodically, I left one open one night and had a big fuckin mess to clean up, after that it was a matter of dialing them in, easy. If anyone decides to use blumats, buy the flexible tubing, its red/orange, it has no memory and will snake anywhere you want. the black tubing that comes with it is coiled up like every other drip line you will buy, and wants to coil and loop and drive you bananas when you set it up. Spend the money, and write me a thank you letter:puffpuffpass: the only thing I will change is my plant count, I had 9, I think 4-6 of the same strain would do better. The Summer Breeze was a champ, heavy thick buds, they smell pretty citrusy, mostly oranges with some black pepper mixed in as of now, one plant smelled more like pineapple. The other strains did well too, not sure what they were but they each had one or two big producers. One is very skunky the other one stinks, like a really gross smell, puke with fruity undertones, nothing wrong with it mold or otherwise, hope it cures into a more pleasant palette.
Alright everyone, thanks for following, but I'm moving on to my out door! I'll update this when I have time for another run, I have clones of all the gals I ran, and will be doing 6 Summer Breezes when I get around to it!
Peace

Thanks all! Much appreciated! got some upgrades for the garden!!! 1k SoliTek dimmable ballast, Horti Eye HPS, new inline fan and carbon filter for the room. Soil is looking very much alive and well! I'll be planting some companion crop in the next few days, then starting my new brood! Got some Velvet Glove fem seeds from Swampboys and some GojiTang from The Horticulture Co. I'll grow two of each and take cuts from them, probably going only 4 plants this time in the bed. Nothing else will change other than giving the beds a feeding of budswell, I forgot what that added to my flavor profile and I was kicking myself in the ass for not using it last run. Peace all! -TS

Hey all, had some setbacks, my bed started to leak so I needed something to replace it. I’m now in a 4x4 geoplanter, fabric bed, 1kw is rocking, plants are looking good! I have 2 Velvet Glove plants and a GojiTang, the second Gojitang seed turned out to be male.... something about carts and horses..... oh well, canopy is filling up. I’m a week into flower now with these plants. VG back left and front right, Gojitang is back right. I have a couple gnats or aphids flying around, but the neem teas are knocking them back hard. Peace

Just wondering if you have worms in the bed.

I was pulling up a stump in my NT crates and noticed that the one with worms in it pulled out without many roots. The worms had eat most of the roots off the stump. After harvesting the plants. I let them set for about a month before replanting them. I keep them watered and add a little organic ferts and let the worms brake down the roots.

I've been thinking about setting up a 1/3 of my flowering table into a deep bed (2x4x1.5ft) and going the no-till living soil route. After reading this and seeing your results it's pushed me one step closer. Awesome grow and can't wait to see what you do with a bigger bed and light.

Thanks Somatek and Gone grape! I strongly recommend this growing style Somatek, easiest, least time consuming method Ive ever tried. The upfront cost isn’t even that high compared to other soil or hydro set ups either, and the savings only grow every cycle.
