Butcher Bob
Lone Wolf
Wasn't so much what you said, as much as how you said it......
Fkng wash yer hands before cloning etc...alcohol yer scissors.
...like it's a necessity.
Indeed, cleanliness is good policy...but dirt is not adverse to cloning.
I will qualify my position...I always did my indoor gardening before doing other activities for the day (so that I'm basically clean), and the rusty razor blade started out brand new and was only ever used for cloning.
Perhaps a spider mite story to show that I understand where you're coming from...
For aboot 5 years I battled spider mites. Tried everything under the sun to no avail...so I nuked the room and started over from seed. Things went great after that, no more mites. Then a friend had to tear down and brought me clones of his mothers. Two weeks later, I had mites again. When I told him, he immediately called another friend that he had given another set of clones to, thinking he'd prove it wasn't his clones...but our other buddy now had mites too. I told my friend I had changed my daily routine to do my indoor gardening first thing in the day, so that I could be assured I wasn't bringing in mites on my clothes. He blew off that idea. So I asked him when he did his garden work...afternoon or early evening was his answer. For two months he'd spent the mornings clearing brush on his property, and then went into his grow room without showering let alone even changing his clothes. I'm sure you can imagine how pissed I was....so yes, I understand the importance of cleanliness.
