Stuff to watch on mushrooms...

Sounds like quite the experience Lithium. (y)
Starship Troopers eh?...going on my list to review.

From the world of R. Crumb...

Ah, more classics. I luv Crumb and Bakshi. 🙂

Fritz the Cat (1972)

This is Bakshi's first movie....we'll be seeing more.
Also it is the first animated movie to get an X rating.

The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat (1974)

Oddly, neither Crumb nor Bakshi had any involvement in this movie.

...some actresses really hit the nail on the head...

Æon Flux (2005)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or can be seen/rented on several other streaming services.

Whether it be the scifi environment of Æon...

Either way...you're in for a ride.

It's all in the dosage Nanny...all in the dosage. 😜
Getting large, the back of my eyelids are the screen too.

Good vid Wrinkled. Aboot halfway through, when he gets cut off by the train, I noticed each boxcar had the letters 'H' and 'A' on them...so as the train is going by, it looks like...
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

Two outta three ain't bad...

Fresh off a sesh, the first two selections I made, made the list.
The first is a Bakshi series I didn't even know aboot, until I was rooting around in his filmography.
A six episode series...I couldn't find a trailer, but Ralph was kind enough to Y/T the entire package...

Spicy City (1 season 1997)

Maybe I'm too Canadian....or maybe it was the mushrooms...
...but I found this next movie to be hysterical.
Easily found myself laughing through at least half of it.

Hundreds of Beavers (2022)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or can be seen/rented at a few other streaming services.

Just a note...psychedelics and alcohol don't mix...because psychedelics counteract the effects of the alcohol.
2001 eh....been getting some great segues...

Stanley Kubrick...a master of visual stimulation...

If you like that retro 60s look, then Stan is your man.
This first one makes just aboot everyone's list...

They were the 70's...it was a different time back then...
...more Bakshi...

Very in line with the style of Fritz the Cat, these two movies are also classics.
If you're 'woke', then skip these...you'll be offended.
But if you grew up back then, you'll understand the form.

Heavy Traffic (1973)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...

Nope, got 'em both....just hadn't gotten to them yet.
I'm maybe a quarter of the way thru what is on my list so far...we got lots more coming.

More neon...

When it first came out, it was cutting edge.
Now, 40 years later...it still looks good...

Tron (1982)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...

Almost 30 years later, I expected the sequel to be better...
...but still, colorful...

Tron Legacy (2010)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or can be seen/rented on several other streaming services.

But both of those movies are child's play though...
...compared to the bright, vivid, neon coloration of this one...

Speed Racer (2008)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or can be seen/rented on several other streaming services.

Technically...I don't consider these to be cartoons...

Really, 3D CGI is it's own category.
These were picked for the humor.
They are great for group trips...
...because laughter is contagious.

Rango (2011)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...

A trip to the darker side...

Some surrealistic movies are not for everyone.
Many may find the subject matter...uncomfortable.
Both of these movies frequent top spots on watch lists...
...even though some folks may find them a bit unsettling...

The Holy Mountain (1973)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or...
...or...

Best to view them with no preconceived notions...
...from a neutral position of thought.
Just let the movie take you on the journey...
...telling you it's story.

Enter the Void (2009)

Trailer:

Full movie:

Badass Bitch: Scarlett...

I like the concept for this first one.
Have always thought the human brain is capable of so much more...
...but that we've just been dumbed down, so to speak.
What would happen, IF it were fully utilized?

Lucy (2014)

Trailer:

Full movie:
...or...
...or...
...or can be seen/rented on a few other streaming services.

Found this next one while looking for the animated version.
Critics pretty much panned it, but I thought it was quite good...
...colorful, good concept, great cinematography...

A couple more TV series...

While the visuals are really good...
