S1 clones

Hey everyone. I have a quick question. I've read numerous posts that say S1's are slow growing. Would clones from those plants also grow slowly? I would assume they would, but I've never grown an S1 yet, and I've never cloned a plant, lol. Not that it matters, it was just a thought while I was reading an IG post by CSI about his Bubba S1's. Thanks for any insight.

I've never found S1's to be slower growing than anything else.
Nor or there any problems with cloning them.

I think Bubba grows slowly in general. That's probably what CSI was saying

Ok. It wasn't just the Bubba strain that I've heard the S1 grew slowly, that was just the recent one. Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't worry about it. If it grows slowly just veg for an extra couple weeks and it should be just fine
Bubba is great smoke.

Selfing is a tech that can produce highly inbred progeny. I’ve had plants that grow like a strawberry with weird ass leaf mutations and didn’t want to veg. You can certainly find some runty plants in S1 seeds.

Selfing is a tech that can produce highly inbred progeny.

Not that it necessarily is growing slower...maybe that they just lack hybrid vigor (heterosis) ? ...just a thought.

Yes nature seems to reward diversity with a little push haha. Could be a factor.

The clones should grow at the same rate as the doner.

As mentioned by Butcher Bob above S1's usually won't have that hybrid vigor that comes from a more diverse cross.
