2019 outdoor coco grow

Been a really great year. Perfect weather, save for a two week heatwave in August that topped out at 108 degrees. Surprisingly the OG strains thrived in that weather. Sorry for the sideways picture, can’t figure out how to turn it upright.

Very nice!

Got a few questions if you don't mind. What size containers are you using? Hand watered or rez? I've been growing outside in peat and perlite for years but have shied away from coco since I've been told really bad things happen if it dries out.

Love to hear your approach and thoughts.

I used wine barrel halves, so 27.5 gallon size, as well as 20 gallon plastic pots. I hand watered every three days.

OK that makes sense. I'm (95%) in five gallon containers and I'm afraid they would just dry out too fast. A larger container would probably make that easier to manage as long as you never have to move it.
