This article was semi-interesting. Detailed some current knowledge about how your genetics affect your response to cannabis, and promised a vague-but-exciting future in which research is actually done. The question is, who will sponsor the research? Big Pharma or other private interests, or the govt. via the NIH? I dunno. And I also don't know how this will affect the average cannabis consumer (who is often a LOT less informed than we growers are). Time will tell.

Now a company is DNA testing pot store customers in Alberta. For $30, they test for three genetic markers that could affect one's reaction to cannabis. The test's criteria are based on studies done in the laboratory in vitro, not in actual human studies.

“There’s nothing probably technically wrong with what they’re doing, but I think there’s a big gap in terms of what they’re doing and applying it to real world settings.”
