So where are people standing on veg light cycles these days?
We are talking normal hybrids grown indoors.

in winter, i run 24/0 to keep the temp levels steady. In the summer, i could go down to 189/6

I run my clone tent at 24/0, to maintain constant warm temps. When I veg, I run 16/8. Saves power and works just as well as 18/6. :2c:

I’m using the 12/1 i in n my veg tent now. It’s the third cycle and it working great for me. I normally veg for 21 day on an 18/6. I thought running this cycle would cause a longer veg but it didn’t. The plants are all healthy and happy. I’m also happy when the electric bill shows up. My lights are on for 12 , off for 5 1/2, on for 1 hour, off 5 1/2. I only wish we could have run the 8 lighter back in the 90s with this timing! One thing it really helps with are the narrow leaf verities. They tend to stay shorter and the stretch is minimized.

I haven’t see a real advantage with the rest period so I push them 24hr/day. I flower most varieties at 21-27 day veg assuming there’s no deep chunk in there lol.

I always run a 18/6 veg cycle in my tents. Short sleep and long days for my girls and they have always loved it. Like most I have played with a 20 and 24 cycle as well.

I've used 18/6 up to 24hr veg and 13/11 to 10/14 bloom.
depends. But presently (normal hybrids) 18/6 and will be 12/12.
